To strengthen our team, VDL Konings Swalmen is looking for a Production Engineer. Do you have experience with industrial manufacturing and engineering projects and are you proactive and driven to take on challenges? Then we have the perfect job for you!

The job:

As a Production Engineer, you contribute to securing, developing and further improving the production process. The production engineering department is a staff department of the production department and supports the entire production process. In addition, Production Engineering is an important partner in the development teams with regard to manufacturability. Besides participating in the development teams for new products, we also have very interesting rationalisation projects in the pipeline due to our enormous growth plans. In short, a very varied job where you can apply both your theoretical and practical knowledge and are in very close contact with your colleagues in the workshop and the other engineering departments. As a Production Engineer, you will:

• Advising on manufacturability;
• Be the contact point for production-technical problems and analyse and solve them;
• Set up and maintaining work instructions;
• Co-developing and improving processes and production resources such as moulds and tools;
• Contributing to investment projects for new production equipment;
• Help start up new projects in production;
• Contributing to quality assurance and improvement;
• host party for NPI regarding the implementation in production;
• Drawing up specifications for the required production tooling;
• Technical support Development teams, NPI and Work Preparation.

Your profile as a Production Engineer:

If you are interested for this vacancy and would like to apply for the job, we would like to see:

• Good analytical skills, which you apply to problem-solving;
• A Higher Vocational Eduction (HBO) in mechanical engineering;
• Knowledge of machining techniques such as milling and non-machining techniques such as construction benchwork, welding and assembly processes;
• Experience with industrial manufacturing and engineering techniques in mechanical engineering is a plus;
• Knowledge and experience in the development of production systems;
• Knowledge and experience in the field of SPC and Lean-6 sigma is a plus.
