Product Manager Horticulture bij Kekkilä – BVb

Our business is growing, so we are currently looking for

(Jr.) Product Manager, Horticulture

For our location Grubbenvorst or de Lier, The Netherlands (South of the Netherlands)

As a (Jr.) Product Manager, you support the Senior Product Manager with the product portfolio of Kekkilä-BVB Substrates brand in business line horticulture, globally. We will invest a lot of time and energy to have you develop into a full Product Manager. You ensure that customer needs and market opportunities are identified and lead the related product development projects.

Key responsibilities

• Understand the market and the industry by following and analysing market data, trends, growing strategy and technology developments, especially linked to hydroponics
• Implement global policies locally
• Identify market gaps and opportunities based on customer insight
• Test new, innovative product concepts in the market as the industry front runner
• Participate in development projects. Develop and verify business cases
• Provide marketing, sales and operations product information and material
• Make recipes and technical specifications

Main skills needed in the position

• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree
• 2-5 years of relevant work experience
• Passion for professional horticulture, deep understanding of growing in different climate zones and practicalities of growing in different countries, deep understanding of soilless growing
• Product management knowledge in the field of professional horticulture: properties, quality requirements, raw materials and additives
• Project management skills
• Fluent English language skills
• Flexibility towards changes
• Development-minded with hands-on attitude
