Function

To strengthen the organization, we are looking for candidates for the position of Process Engineer. This position reports to the Engineering, Maintenance & Asset Manager and will provide process and technical support to the plant by identifying, developing and implementing process improvements.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  •  Coordinates multiple process engineering projects and process validation initiatives.
  • Manages technical activities related to new and existing products, performs trouble shooting and executes equipment optimizations.
  • Supports Operational Excellence by identifying projects to improve efficiencies, lower costs, improve quality and safety.
  • Leads investigations relating to manufacturing issues, product release performance(s) and/or customer complaints.
  • Manages, analyses and identifies trends in data regarding processes and production and makes/implements recommendations.
  • Supports Innovation or Technical Departments by participating or leading technical risk assessments related to new product introduction, investigations or change associated with existing (newer) products.
  • Steers activities relating to change of processes, components and raw materials utilizing Change Control Procedures.
  • Leads and supports Technology Transfer activities for new products into the facility.
  • Manages the design, operation, control, and optimization of production processes of several lines.
  • Trains operators and maintenance technicians on new and existing equipment procedures.

Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • HBO/Academic degree in an Engineering discipline;
  • At least 5 years of industry experience in a process engineering role, preferably in a product processing industry.

Professional qualities:

  • Entrepreneurial mindset; hands-on mentality; ability to set priorities; drive to become the expert;
  • Good technical and practical skills, good problem solving skills and a broad interest in different processes;
  • Excellent communication skills in English; Dutch is highly appreciated;
  • Excellent analytical, research and report writing skills;
  • Team player with a positive attitude, able to think and act independently with a good balance between the short term pragmatism and long term strategies.
