R&D Laboratory Technician

For our Business Unit Lube oil Additives & Chemicals (LAC)

Our customers are in a diverse range of industries, including automotive, oil / petrochemical, personal care and construction. Worldwide, approximately 260 employees work for BRB. We have two Business Units; Silicones & Lube oil Additives & Chemicals.

Your added value as R&D Laboratory Technician LAC:

As the R&D laboratory technician, you will be responsible for the operational activities within the R&D department. You will carry out experiments and have a supporting role in development projects. In addition, your work activities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Collecting, preparing and evaluating materials;
• Carrying out physical, chemical and performance testing;
• Implementing new and optimize existing test methods;
• Building, maintaining, troubleshooting breakdowns, operating and calibrating standard laboratory equipment.

Your background as R&D Laboratory Technician:

You have an eye for detail, follow procedures and work accurately. You work effectively and adapt under changing circumstances. You demonstrate good time management and focus on results without compromising quality. You enjoy working in the laboratory, being part of a small team and contribute constructively to discussions.

You also have:

• Intermediate vocational education in relevant field (MBO+ / HBO);
• Good oral and written command of English language;
• Hands on experience with laboratory work;
• Work experience preferred, but not essential.
